Terms of Service
Updated October 8, 2026
These Terms are the rules for using Bits. By creating an account or continuing to use Bits, you agree to them. We kept them short and plain on purpose.
1. What Bits is
Bits is a private app for making short videos with friends. Each Bit is shared only between the two people who made it. Each of you records your half without seeing the other's, and the finished Bit unlocks for both of you at once. There is no public feed and nothing on Bits is shown to strangers.
2. Your account
You need to be at least 13 years old to use Bits. You sign up with your own phone number, and you're responsible for what happens on your account. Use your real name or a name your friends will recognize, and don't pretend to be someone else.
3. What you can post
Bits has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Never post:
- nudity or sexual content;
- harassment or bullying;
- hate or violence, including threats;
- content that encourages self-harm;
- spam.
Only record people who agree to be in your Bit. Don't post anything that breaks the law or someone else's rights.
4. Reporting and blocking
You can report any Bit or person, and block anyone, from inside the app. The person you report or block isn't told. We review reports within about 24 hours. If something breaks these Terms, we remove it, and we can ban the account that posted it. A banned account can't sign in again.
5. Your content
Your clips, reactions and photo stay yours. So that Bits can work, you give us permission to store them, put them together into a Bit, and show them to the other person in that Bit. We don't use them for anything else, and we don't show them to anyone else, except that when someone reports a Bit, our team may view it to review the report. If you save or share a finished Bit outside the app, that copy is in your hands.
6. Deleting your account
You can delete your account anytime in Settings. This deletes every Bit you are in, for both people in each Bit, along with your account details. It happens right away and can't be undone.
7. Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and the app will ask you to agree again before you keep using Bits.
